What to Expect
Your first visit will be friendly and enjoyable. You will experience inspiring music, helpful teaching and preaching, friendly people in an atmosphere where you feel right at home! Here are some answers to some frequently asked questions.
Where do I go when I arrive?
When you first arrive, our Greeters will help you find your way to the Auditorium or proper classroom. Our Greeters can also show you where you can drop your kids off at their classroom.
What Should I wear?
There is not a dress code at Oak Grove. Our ministry leaders and many church family often dress in more traditional “Sunday” clothes or casual. Our main goal is that you would feel welcome and comfortable during your visit at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
Am I expected to give money?
No. We don’t invite you to Oak Grove MBC for your money. We want our service to be a gift to you. We hope you will find in this place a warm family spirit, God’s Truth, and a place where you can grow in God’s grace. Please don’t feel any obligation to participate in the offering as a guest.
Where do my kids go?
After meeting one of our Greeters, you can check in at the Nursery or your child’s age-specific classroom. We have security measures in place that will help keep your children safe while you enjoy the class or service you attend.
How can I connect?
Fully experiencing Oak Grove begins with our Sunday School class at 10:00 am on Sundays. These groups are smaller environments where you can meet others in your age group and hear a teaching lesson more applicable to your life-stage. Our church also enjoys a monthly luncheon after the main service on the first Sunday of the month. All are welcome to join us and eat delicious food!
